September 2010

This time of the summer, I’m often reminded of the old Nat King Cole song, “The lazy, hazy, crazy, days of summer.”  For most of us that rings true.  And although I love the craziness of summer, by this time in August, I’m ready to return to a more normal routine and re-acquaint myself with friends I haven’t seen in several months.  The Newcomer luncheons are a perfect way to get back in touch with friends, be entertained, and enjoy a lovely lunch.  Our Program VP’s, Helen Brinker and Stubby Goodman, have planned a year of top notch programs beginning in September with the talented Sean Mitchell, of Granbury Live, performing and ending the year in May, with the well-known Ft. Worth Star Telegram columnist, humorist, and author Dave Lieber speaking.  So mark your calendars now and plan to attend the luncheon meetings each month.

Hope to see you in September!

Anna Langley, president
